In addition to this great leadership opportunity, students are paid as an Orientation Leader.

    Exeuctive Function Skills Workshop

    EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONING PRESENTATION
    LDA Chicago North presents:
What do Warren Buffet, Bill Gates and our students have in common?
    Executive Functioning Skills.
    by: Laura Doto
What do Warren Buffet, Bill Gates and our students have in common? The answer lies in executive functioning skills, such as organization, time management, emotional regulation and working memory. These skills are often the last to be internalized but the first to be required of 21st century learners. Executive functioning strategies appear invisible to many learning disabled children. By making the invisible visible, we can equip students with specific skills for success.
Laura Doto is a Professional Educational Therapist. She holds a masters degree from the University of Chicago and is Executive Director of Loren Academic Services in Winnetka, providing curriculum design, academic support and educational therapy services to clients ranging from elementary school to professional graduate programs. After serving as the Director of Academic Support for students at Montclair Kimberley Academy (MKA) in New Jersey, Laura recently returned to the Chicago area to practice.
Educators, parents and students all welcome! Free presentation & no need to register!
    When: Wednesday, November 14th, 2012
    6:00 – 7:30 pm
    Where: Lincoln Park High School
    Main Building, Main Entrance
2001 North Orchard Street Chicago, IL 60614
