TRIO Leadership Summit fast approaching!!

Nomination deadline is this Friday, July 31 You have four days to submit a nomination form (complete all 14 questions please) for our annual TRIO Achievement Awards. Nominating yourself is totally acceptable. Winners will be announced at the Leadership Summit on Aug. 14.

Roberto Eugene Tirado Scholarship Available to NEIU undergrads in good standing with a GPA between 2.0 and 3.4. Preference given to students of Puerto Rican descent from single-parent households. Apply here.

Summit needs volunteers

Global diversity will be on display at the Summit. Help ensure its success by: 1) sharing a YouTube video of your favorite danceable song that represents your culture; 2) volunteering to set up a table that represents your culture for our cultural fair.

Northeastern offers second Enrollment Express event for students

On the heels of last month’s successful event, Northeastern Illinois University will host another One Stop Enrollment Express on the Main Campus on July 21.
Departments from across the University will come together to help students prepare for the fall 2015 semester. Nearly 200 students took advantage of the event in June and now are ready for the fall semester.
Representatives from the following areas will be available to help:

• General Advising
• College of Arts and Sciences
• College of Business and Management
• College of Education
• Nontraditional Degree Programs
• Financial Aid
• Student Accounts
• Scholarships Office
• Student Employment
• Registration
• Admissions
• STEM Program

During this event, students may:

• Meet with an advisor
• Get help with FAFSA and ask questions about financial aid
• Apply for scholarships or student employment positions
• Set up a payment plan to pay off a balance
• Register for classes
• Declare a major

Virtual Student Foreign Service Internship Program The U.S. Department of State's internship program is bigger and better than ever. Last year, 610 students were selected. This year, over 330 projects are available. Students can apply from July 2 to 22   on  USAJobs . Good luck.
