Following are a few things to remember about TRIO's FAFSA workshops:
1) If you're receiving financial aid, FAFSA is mandatory, not optional.
2) It will take you about 30 minutes to complete your FAFSA. You are not required to attend the workshop for a full two hours.
3) You must bring the following documents to complete your FAFSA:
To complete a FAFSA for the 2014-2015 academic year, you will need financial and tax information for 2013.

- You may need your spouse's Federal Income Tax Return for the previous year if you are married.
- You may need your untaxed income records for the previous year.
- You may need your current bank statements and investment records.
- You may need your Social Security Card if you do not know your Social Security Number.
- You may need your driver's license if you have one.
- You may need your alien registration or permanent resident card if you are not a citizen of the United States.

TRIO-sponsored FAFSA workshops start today in LIB 401 and 402. Stop in anytime
between 2:00 and 4:00 pm today and 10:00 am and 12:00 pm tomorrow to
complete your FAFSA application. The whole process will take about 30
minutes. Applying now increases your chances of receiving the maximum
award.
