Outstanding TRIO SSS Events In May 2023!

Hey! May is National Meditation/Mindfulness Month! (and also finals) Please join TRIO SSS for the following two events:

Mental Health & Mindfulness Mini-Retreat - Learn to meditate and be well!        

Join us on Tuesday, May 2 from 3-7 PM for a mini-retreat at the Meditation Center of Chicago. This workshop, led by visiting Buddhist monks, will focus on cultivating positive mental health and self-awareness through mindfulness-based techniques that have been shown to reduce symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress. The workshop is not religious and intended for people of all faiths and backgrounds. Instruction on Tai Chi and some Thai refreshments will also be provided. Spring 2023 Study Jam - Get some extra study support and decompress with friends!

TRIO Student Support Services, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and Phi Iota Alpha Fraternity, Inc. invite you to the Spring 2023 Study Jam on Thursday, May 4th from 2-6 PM at the TRIO offices and study space (LIB 401, 402, 412)

Check out the MoreWithUs Spring 2023 Scholarship for students.

MoreWithUs is based in DeKalb, Illinois. This is the fifth time we are offering the scholarship, which started in 2020. All students are eligible to apply. Students can submit a short essay or a short video about a work/volunteer experience.  Each award is $1,000. The application deadline is November 30.
