TRIO Potluck slated for Thursday, April 2 Bring your friends and family to the TRIO Potluck on Thursday, April 2 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm in LIB 310. The menu consists of camaraderie, fellowship and fun. If you can bring a dish that would be great, but it's not required.

Dr. Harry N. Hild Student Writing Award 2014-15 This $700 scholarship invites students whose declared major is in the College of Arts and Sciences to write an original text about the following: What does educational access mean to you as an NEIU student? Mini-Kane Mini-Golf 2015

The Office of Alumni Relations is excited to celebrate the Mini-Kane Mini-Golf event on March 26, 2015, as a student-led and student-driven event to raise funds for student scholarships. It is a mini version of the Annual Chuck Kane Golf Outing this summer which in connection with Mini-Kane has provided and supported more than 125 scholarships to students at Northeastern! The event will be in Alumni Hall South, or outside (weather permitting) from noon-5 p.m. It costs $2 to play or $5 with a commemorative NEIU ball. Hope to see you out there!

TRIO will participate in Mini-Kane Golf Event on 3/26

The 2015 Mini-Kane Mini-Golf event will be held on Thursday, March 26 from 12:00 to 5:00 pm In Alumni Hall North. This is a student-driven event aimed at raising funds for student scholarships.

TRIO will be sponsoring a hole again this year. This event is just plain old fun. Organize a group of your friends and play a few holes. You'll be supporting a great cause. See you there.  

Apply now for Murrell J. Higgins Duster Scholarship

Applications for the Murrell J. Higgins Duster Scholarship are now being accepted.

This scholarship was established in 2012 to assist students with costs associated with attending Northeastern Illinois University, including tuition, books, or fees. There will be one $600 scholarship awarded to a student taking courses in Summer 1A and four $400 scholarships awarded to students enrolled in the Fall 2015 semester. Application materials can be found here.

The deadline for applications is April 10, 2015.

Criteria:

1. All applicants must be currently enrolled Northeastern Illinois University students.

Recipients will be selected and notified. The Summer 1A scholarship will be awarded by May 15, 2015. Fall 2015 scholarships will be awarded by August 15, 2015.

5th Annual Graduate Fair

Dear NEIU Juniors and Seniors,

 

If you are wondering about what your next step will be after graduation, what to do with your degree and would like to know about the costs and benefits of graduate programs, then please join us for the 5^th Annual Graduate Fair hosted by the Northeastern Illinois University Psychology Department.

Job Internship Fair

The Career Development Center and the College of Business and Management will host a Job and Internship Fair on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 scheduled from noon to 3:00pm in Alumni Hall on main campus. American Sign Language classes being offered

Six weeks of American Sign Language classes will be offered at Northeastern's main campus every Wed. from 6:30 to 8:30 pm beginning April 8. ASL is the fourth most studied language at universities. Take advantage of this great opportunity.
