TRIO Student Support Services at Northeastern Illinois University provides academic support to first-generation and income-qualifying students and to students with disabilities. Services include academic advisement, financial aid and scholarship guidance, tutoring and mentoring, personal and leadership development seminars, study strategies, and other activities aimed at helping students obtain a college degree.

Three TRIO scholarships are available
Three TRIO scholarships available
TRIO is offering three Spring
Scholarships: Participation, Engagement and Study Abroad. To be
eligible, you must complete your Spring 2016 Student Success Plan. The deadline to apply for the scholarships is Jan. 30.
All TRIO members can now complete SSP online
We've made it possible for EVERYONE to complete the Student Success Plan (SSP) online. You must complete your SSP to be eligible for spring TRIO scholarships. Send your questions to triosss@neiu.edu.

Need help with FAFSA?
You can get personal assistance completing the 2016-17 Free Application for Federal Student Aid. NEIU will be hosting FAFSA workshops at all of its campuses. The Parent's Guide to Completing the FAFSA will help you get started, whether you're the student, parent, or a guardian.
