One Stop Enrollment Aug. 4 & 14

Hello Everyone,

Mark your calendars for our One Stop Enrollment Express events designed to help students quickly and easily take care of Fall 2018 enrollment needs in one place.

We are offering two One Stop Enrollment Express events for the month of August:
Saturday, August 4, 2018
10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Alumni Hall, Student Union, Main Campus

Tuesday, August 14, 2018
10:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Alumni Hall, Student Union, Main Campus

Students may RSVP to let us know which date they’ll be attending, although this is not required.
Representatives from the following areas will be available to assist students:
  • Admissions
  • Advising
  • Financial Aid
  • Registration
  • Scholarships
  • Student Employment
  • Student Housing
  • Students Payment Services
  • Study Abroad
  • University Technology Services
During the event, students will be able to:
  • Register for Fall 2018 classes
  • Obtain information about declaring your major
  • Receive help with the FAFSA and ask questions about financial aid
  • Apply for a scholarship and/or a student employment position
  • Speak with a general academic advisor
  • Set up a payment plan to pay off an account balance
  • Visit the model unit in our residence hall, The Nest

Four $1,250 Scholarships Available!!

Thanks to a grant from the Max Goldenberg Foundation, NEIU will award four one-time scholarships of $1,250 to students who exemplify Mr. Goldenberg's commitment to service towards his fellow Chicagoans. 
 
Scholarships will be awarded to students who: 
 
1) have demonstrated a commitment to civic leadership and service activities focusing on finding solutions for challenges facing their communities both on and off campus; 
 
2) demonstrate academic achievement.

Students interested must:
  • Write a personal statement outlining their commitment to and experience with service activities and civic leadership, including examples of their efforts to find solutions to challenges facing their communities
  • Complete the application form available here
  • Provide letters of reference from two individuals with the ability to speak to the nominee's prior service
  • Have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a scale of 4.0 at NEIU or another institution
Applications must be submitted online by Friday, July 27th, 2018, 11:59PM CST
 
Personal statements and letters of recommendation must be emailed to Shannon Sibel at s-sibel@neiu.edu by Friday, July 27th, 2018, 11:59PM CST.

Scholarship Alert!!
