Congratulations to Pacifique Uwiringiyimana For Completing The Changemakers Fellowship
The Changemakers Fellowship is tailored for individuals who are passionate and dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of #RealCollege students from the Great Lakes region. The program offers a unique opportunity for current students to develop leadership skills in advocacy, organizing, and supporting advocacy-related work aimed at addressing basic needs insecurity among underrepresented student populations. Our goal is to empower and equip the next generation of leaders in education and beyond through this fellowship. We encourage you to explore this page to learn more about the Changemakers Fellowship and how it can help you make a meaningful impact in the lives of students.
Following is what Pacifique had to say about the fellowship:
Greetings everyone, My name is Pacifique Uwiringiyimana, and I’m thrilled to be part of this fellowship cohort. Currently a senior at Northeastern Illinois University, I am majoring in Community Health and have gained valuable professional experience in various roles. I have worked as a Concierge at The Breakers at Edgewater Beach, where I built trusting relationships with clients facing cognitive difficulties, ensuring their safety and health by helping them with medication management and appointment coordination. Additionally, I have been actively involved as a student ambassador and a mentor in the FYE Peer Mentor program, where I have had the privilege of connecting with and supporting fellow students on their academic journeys. These experiences have deepened my passion for serving others and fostering well-being in communities. With my goal of becoming a pharmacist, I am dedicated to making a positive impact on the health and education of communities. I am excited to learn from all of you and contribute my own unique experiences and perspectives to our fellowship cohort.
