University BICYCLE policy

From the University:

The University encourages and supports bicycle commuting to campus by providing numerous bike racks across campus.  We have approximately 241 spaces available for bicycle parking and continue to add spaces.  This link shows the location of these bike racks:
http://www.neiu.edu/DOCUMENTS/About_NEIU/Administration/VP_-_Finance_Administration/Facilities_Management/Bike_Racks.pdf
In order to ensure campus safety, bicycles may be locked up only in these authorized spaces.  Please be advised that any bicycle parked in an unauthorized space (fences, light poles, trees etc.) may be confiscated and impounded by the University Police.  Because of increased bicycle parking in these unauthorized spaces, enforcement will be increased.

Further, for safety reasons bicycles may not be ridden on campus sidewalks, or brought into campus buildings.

Thank you for your cooperation.

All vehicles parked on Northeastern Illinois University property must display a valid permit. Students must register their vehicle with the Parking Office prior to receiving a parking permit.
http://www.neiu.edu/~park/FY13%20Fall%202012%20Vehicle-Permit%20Registration%20LTR.pdf What if I do not require parking at the NEIU campus? If you do not require parking you must fill out a “Mandatory Parking Fee Waiver” form and bring it to the Cashier’s office when confirming your registration for each term. Blank forms are available at the Cashier’s (D-101) or by clicking here: http://www.neiu.edu/DOCUMENTS/About_NEIU/Administration/VP_-_Finance_Administration/Bursar/parking_waiver.pdf and printing out a copy.
