Undocumented Students Session Description: In this presentation, we will share what we learned about a program called DREAM zone that has been instituted at Arizona State University.

Exploring Trans Inclusive Policies in Higher Education Session Description: What are the current models and best practices to support transgender and gender queer students? We will explore trans-friendly practices at other higher education institutions and discuss ways to create a more progressive and inclusive environment for gender queer and Trans students at NEIU in our own respective departments/offices. Attendees will be asked to read a portion of "Promising Practices for Inclusion of Gender Identity/Gender Expression in Higher Education" which will be sent in advance.

Volunteer Opportunity

Volta Elementary needs your help!

There is an event coming up at Volta at which volunteers are needed. It's the end-of-school-year celebration!

When:  Fri. June 14 from 8:30-4:00.

Volunteers would be helping staff simple games outdoors 

(e.g. ring toss, sack race etc.).

There will be a 1-hour orientation for all volunteers on Tues. June 11th at 9 am to learn how to lead the games. If you cannot make the orientation, a coordinator will gladly work around your schedule.

The TRIO Staff have Flat- Staff photos of themselves for you to take a photo with while you are enjoying your summer activities.  Once your picture has been submitted, we will contact you for disclaimer information. Come and pick up your Advisor’s Flat-Staff today!

Come take part in our "Celebrate Summer Session Weekly BBQ" Series   

Hosted by the Northeastern Programming Board and the office of Student Leadership Development

Stop by the University Commons  from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM for burgers, hot dogs, refreshments, and more!

Every Wednesday for the next five weeks, the Northeastern Programming Board and the office of Student Leadership Development will be bringing you a weekly BBQ to help curb your appetite. The dates are as follows:
