Career Development is excited to announce a series of drop-in resume workshops designed to help you prepare for the upcoming NEIU Fall 2023 Career & Internship Fair on Thursday, Nov. 9. These workshops will equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to create a standout resume and make a lasting impression on potential employers.
10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31: Resume Trick-or-Treat (Room B 119)
Treat yourself to a Halloween-themed event where you can have your resume reviewed, win prizes for best costume, decorate pumpkins, and receive a goodie bag filled with treats and resources.
2-4 p.m. Thursday, Thursday, Nov. 2: Resume Clinic (Room B 119)
Receive expert guidance on polishing your resume. Career Development staff will be available to review your resume, offer constructive feedback and help you stand out in the competitive job market.

The Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU) McNair Scholars Program invites applicants to apply for Cohort 22. The program seeks students who are current Sophomores, Juniors, or Seniors who are considering going to graduate school. The McNair program prepares students for graduate studies by providing them with the following opportunities:
We invite you to apply to the McNair Scholars Program if you meet the following criteria:
1. First-generation and low-income college student
OR
A member of an underrepresented group in graduate education
2. Sophomore (completed at least 48 credit hours), Junior
(completed at least 60 credit hours), or Senior graduating no
earlier than December 2024
3. No specific GPA is required. However, a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or
higher is encouraged (4.0 scale)
4. U.S. citizen or permanent resident
If you have questions about whether you meet the criteria to apply, please reach out to us and we will help you determine your eligibility.
The application is now open and will be accepting applications until November 30th, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. Being named a McNair Scholar is both an honor and a responsibility, as there are no more than 15 scholars selected for the program each year. Middle-level Education major Angelo Tufano continues to shine inside and outside the classroom. We are delighted that he was selected as a recipient of the Golden Apple Scholarship as well as the Grow Your Own Teachers Scholarship.
