Intrepid TRIO Summer Transition Program participants

Intrepid TRIO Summer Transition Program participants did some serious wall climbing in the PE Complex on October 29. These freshmen meet monthly for college transition workshops on time management, brain-based study skills and personal wellness.

The TRIO Summer Transition Program freshmen group has done an amazing job of sticking together as a team. Keep up the good work!! You are setting an excellent example for future STP members. And thanks Alejandra for this great photo.

You can help spread the word about TRIO among your fellow students by describing to them the benefits TRIO membership has to offer, such as tutoring and mentoring, one-to-one advising, financial aid assistance and advanced registration. Get your friends on the bandwagon. Tell them about the benefits of joining TRIO.

Alternate Spring Break Trip Application

It's time again to apply for the Student Activities Alternative Spring Break Program. This year's trips will take place during the 2015 University Spring Break (Saturday, March 14 to Saturday, March 21). There are four different trip options you can apply for. The application deadline has been extended to Thursday, Oct. 30.

First Hackerspace great fun

The debut of Hackerspace was, by all accounts, great fun. The order of the day was decorating sugar skulls to commemorate El Día de los Muertos. Hot Lunch, Hot Topics Workshop was well attended and interesting

Today's Hot Lunch, Hot Topics Workshop facilitated by Graduate Student Yazin Musa under the direction of TRIO Enrollment Coordinator Marianyelli Hanna was well attended and interesting. Thanks Yazin for taking the time to help TRIO Achievers become more active listeners, and thanks Terri for preparing a fantastic hot lunch.
