Financial assistance is available


Dear TRIO Achiever,

On Thursday, April 16 from 3:00 to 4:00 pm outside LIB 412 a representative from America Needs You-Illinois Fellows will be on hand to discuss, among other things, internships and professional development grants. To qualify you must be a first-year student with a 3.0 GPA.

On Tuesday, April 21 from 3:00 to 4:00 pm in LIB 310 I'll be presenting a workshop entitled Scholarships: Access to Free Money.
If you need financial assistance, I encourage you to attend both events.

Learn to solve word problems
This workshop is especially relevant for students taking the TAP/ACT, college and developmental algebra courses, anyone who struggles with math problems, and for speakers of English as a second language. You'll learn to decode vocabulary and avoid unnecessary mistakes.

Art of former TRIO member featured The art of former TRIO member and NEIU Alumnus Ryne Juguilon will be featured in Artravaganza on Friday, April 17 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm in the Fine Arts building. Ryne invites everyone to stop by and say hello.
