New School for Social Research Presentation Nov. 3

Please join the sociology department in a unique and informational presentation by the New School for Social Research

Who: The New School for Social Research (NSSR) is home to many world-renowned scholars, practitioners, and innovators who open minds and doors to civically engaged inquiry and opportunities. Located in New York City, The New School for Social Research is rooted in a legacy of critical theory and historically grounded scholarship.

Guest Speakers:
·         JEFFREY C. GOLDFARB is the Michael E. Gellert Professor of Sociology at the New School for Social Research. He is the author of dozens of articles and eight books. He will speak on the upcoming elections and democracy.

·         DANA MESSINGER is the Director of Graduate Admission at The New School for Social Research.  She has worked in admissions at Columbia Law School, Baruch College, and Johns Hopkins University. She has also spent the 2008 campaign cycle working for Hillary Clinton for President and on Democratic house races. She will speak on what makes a good graduate application.
