Today is First-Generation College Celebration Day!

National First-Generation College Celebration Day honors the anniversary of the signing of the Higher Education Act (HEA) of 1965. In addition to creating federal grants and loan programs to help students finance their educations, HEA supported the launch of postsecondary access, retention, and completion programs for low-income, first-generation college students across the country. Follow along on our instagram today as we celebrate our first-generation college Fellows, Mentor Coaches, and staff through our official #BecauseImFirst campaign.
