Apply now to be a Chicago Cancer Health Equity Collaborative (ChicagoCHEC) Fellow this summer to be exposed to a variety of fields that participate in health equity research and become an agent for change and a warrior for health disparities in cancer.
The application to become a ChicagoCHEC fellow for the 2023 summer cohort is open and available on the ChicagoCHEC website now through Feb. 6, 2023.
The ChicagoCHEC Fellows program is a comprehensive learning experience for undergraduate and post-baccalaureate students at Northeastern Illinois University, University of Illinois at Chicago, Northwestern University, the City Colleges of Chicago and other community and junior colleges in the Chicago metropolitan area who are planning to apply to graduate or medical school. This program is focused on the development of academic, technical and professional skills in preparation for careers in social, behavioral and biomedical research and in healthcare.
ChicagoCHEC Fellows will spend the summer in seminars and research rotations learning from leading researchers. This year, the program will run from June 12-Aug. 4, 2023. A stipend is given for the entirety of the eight-week program.
