*Important Parking Announcement*

A valid parking permit is required, and must be displayed, on all vehicles parked on the NEIU campus.
Students that have confirmed their classes and paid for parking, must also register their vehicle with the Parking Office. Vehicle registration can be completed online at: http://www.neiu.edu/~park. For a list of distribution dates, times and locations, click here. Permits will not be mailed out. Students may check the status of their permit online at: http://www.neiu.edu/~park.
Students that elect not to park on campus, must waive the parking fee by, January 22, 2013, with the Cashier's Office.

Checklist of Documents Needed to Complete Your FAFSA
Your Social Security Number and your parents’ Social Security Numbers if you are providing parent information;

Your driver’s license number if you have one;

Your Alien Registration Number if you are not a U.S. citizen;

2012 federal tax information or tax returns (including IRS W-2 information) for yourself (and spouse if you are married) and for your parents if you are providing parent information. If you have not yet filed a 2012 income tax return, you can still submit your FAFSA but you must provide income and tax information (i.e., last pay stubs from the 2012 year).

Records of untaxed income, such as Social Security benefits, welfare benefits (e.g., TANF), and veterans benefits, for yourself, and your parents if you are providing parent information; and

Information on savings, investments, and business and farm assets for yourself, and your parents if you are providing parent information.

PINs (Personal Identification Numbers for you (and your parents, if applicable).

Spectrum Social Justice Retreat

Spectrum Social Justice Retreat

An annual retreat dedicated to facilitating dialogue focused on building a foundation of knowledge that will enhance student success in leadership in the areas of multiculturalism and social justice.

We are now accepting applications for participants to this overnight retreat January 25th – 27th.
·         The retreat will be at the Stronghold Retreat Center in Oregon, IL. 
·         Meals, transportation, and lodging will be covered for each participant.
·         This is retreat is only limited to NEIU students (undergraduate or graduate).

Launching Your Career: Exploration and Beyond!

Academic and Career Advising is sponsoring the Career Launch Program, a semester-long career exploration and job readiness initiative for NEIU undergraduate students.  Program participants will participate in group activities and workshops, as well as complete tasks and assignments.  Participants who successfully complete the Program will receive a monetary stipend.  Stipends will be linked to both attendance at individual weekly sessions and to satisfactory completion of the program. 

Qualifications:  Junior or Senior status; undeclared majors; minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5/4.0; availability to attend weekly meetings on either Monday or Tuesday from 3:00pm-5:00pm.

Spring 2013 U-pass Distribution will begin THIS FRIDAY, January 4th, 2013!
The U-Pass is your unlimited ride CTA pass available to all full-time NEIU students. You may pick up your U-pass on the dates listed below, or at the Information Center if you are unable to make it to a distribution day (please allow extra time for processing).

Students must present an NEIU ID and be a current full-time student in order to pick up their U-pass.
