What is College Goal Sunday?
In an effort to encourage degree seeking students to complete the FREE Application for Federal Student Aid or FAFSA early and AHEAD of the priority file date of March 1.  The Goal for FAFSA completion - Sunday, February 24, 2013.  Northeastern Illinois University joins 93 other sites in the State of Illinois in this outreach effort to  help families and students navigate the steps of the financial aid process.  We offer:

• An overview of financial assistance programs
• An overview of scholarship opportunities
• A financial education session for familes
• Information on FREE Taxfiing assistance through April
• A line-by-line view of the FAFSA

How do I get my FAFSA completed by College Goal Sunday? 
Attend one of these three workshops:

• Saturday, February 2, 9:00am until noon, El Centro campus (multipurpose room)
• Friday, February 8, 10:00am until 2:00pm, Jacob Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies (student computer lab)
• Saturday, February 9, 9:00am until noon, main campus (LWH 1001)
