Women in STEM Bus TOUR--March 8

HERstory Month 2013
Women Inspiring Innovation Through Imagination: Celebrating Women in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics
Women in STEM Bus Tour of Chicago

Date: Friday March 8, 2013 for International Women's Day

Time: 8:15 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Meet at The Pedroso Center in B-159 at 8:15 a.m. for coffee, bagels and fruit. Bus departs promptly at 8:45 a.m.
First Stop: The Chicago Teachers Center where we will receive a tour and then work with ROBOTS! Participants will attach a set of chassis and wheels to Texas Instrument graphing calculators, and then program the calculators to move. They will then participate in a competitive challenge

Second Stop: Tour Zullo's Zero-Waste Kitchen, is a woman-owned organic sustainable caterer.

Final Stop: The Chicago Lights Urban Farm.  The farm empowers neighborhood youth and residents to have increased economic opportunities through access to organic produce, nutritional education, and work-force training.
