The National Institutes of Health MARC (Maximizing Access to Research Careers) U-STAR Program at Northeastern Illinois University is currently accepting student applications for two MARC Scholar appointments starting in June 2018. To be considered, please apply by 11:55 p.m., March 15, 2018.
The MARC program supports and prepares juniors and seniors interested in attending Ph.D. programs in the biomedical and behavioral sciences upon graduation from Northeastern. This program is not intended to fund students interested in pursuing just a medical degree.
Benefits:
• High-quality preparation for fully funded Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. programs.
• A $12,000 annual stipend for two years.
• 100 percent tuition/fees/health insurance waiver at Northeastern.

Eligibility:
• Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
• Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Applicants are required to complete a Mathematical and Statistical Modeling minor as part of their training.
