The Northeastern Illinois University Department of Counselor Education Couple and Family Wellness Center is now accepting couples and families as clients. This is a free service offered once a year to the University and the community at large on a first-come, first-served basis.
Space is limited. Sessions are offered only on Mondays from 6-9 p.m. from mid-February through late April 2018, in Lech Walesa Hall, Room 4073.
All counseling services are confidential and free.
This will be the 17th year the center has been in operation, and many past clients have found its strengths-based approach to be highly effective to help their family and couple relationships get back on track.
The Wellness Center is a training center for advanced students in Northeastern’s Family Counseling Program, under direct, live supervision of an experienced faculty member in the Couple and Family Counselor Program. A co-therapy and consulting team provides clients with as much help and feedback as possible.
If you or someone you know might benefit from this service, contact Dr. Laura Tejada at ljtejada@neiu.edu or (773) 442-5521, or graduate assistant Sara Haynes at s-haynes3@neiu.edu to discuss an appointment.
