SCSE Summer Research-Professional Training Program

The application period is now open for the 2020 Student Center for Science Engagement (SCSE) Summer Research and Professional Training Program!

The Summer Research and Training Program (currently in its 12th year) provides students with declared majors or minors in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Earth Science, Environmental Science, Mathematics, Physics, and Psychology with the opportunity to work closely with NEIU faculty on a 5- or 10-week research experience that takes place during the summer. The Program also includes weekly professional development and training for the students in the form of workshops. An annual symposium is held in the fall where students have the opportunity to present their work. Depending on the availability of funds, students are also eligible for support to attend a national or regional conference. Student Stipends are $3000 for a 10-week program and $1500 for a 5-week program.
