Minority Internship Program Apply

Academic
and Career Advising is currently accepting applications for the Minority
Internship Program (MIP). The MIP is designed for full-time undergraduate and
graduate students enrolled at Chicago State, Governors State, Northeastern
Illinois, Eastern Illinois and Western Illinois Universities. Selected
participants receive a $1,000 monthly stipend for one semester in return for
completing a 30-hour per week internship and attending seminars at Chicago
State during the semester. Selection is competitive.
Candidates must meet
the following requirements:
Be
African American, Hispanic American (Latino), Asian American (or Pacific
Islander), Native American or Alaskan Native.
Be an
undergraduate with 60 or more credit hours earned and with a minimum GPA of
2.75 OR in a master’s degree program with a minimum GPA of 3.25.
Be
enrolled full-time.
Be a
U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the U.S. or its territories.
Demonstrate
professionalism and independent learning styles.
Be
able to intern 30 hours per week during the internship semester.
Applications are available in the Career Advising
office in
Building B, Room 119. Completed applications must be received in B-119 by
