Valuable Scholarships Available: Apply Now!!

Hello 

Feel free to apply for these upcoming corporate sponsored scholarships for our Latinx students through the Hacu Scholarship Program:
https://www.hacu.net/hacu/scholarships.asp. Except for the first scholarship, which is due April 15, the other scholarships are due May 24, 2019. 


Ford College Community Challenge (C3) - OPEN
  • Team of 3-5 students must be from the same Hispanic-Serving Institution and HACU-member school. To be eligible, each team member must be over the age of 18 and enrolled as a full-time student for both Spring 2019 and Fall 2019 (Spring 2019 graduates are not eligible). 
  • Partner with one (1) community-based 501c3 organization (their fiscal contact and a 501(c)3 IRS determination letter is required).
  • Proposal addresses an urgent and unmet community need in a tangible way (need must meet at least one category within the Ford C3 issue criteria). Proposal must include a project budget and budget description. 
  • Include awareness campaigns outline through the use of social media platforms or other approved mediums, to education the community and highlight project progress.
  • 1st Place Team: One (1) $10,000 grant to a community-based organization for project implementation and up to (5) $1,000 academic scholarships for students in the team.
  • 2nd Place Team: One (1) $7,500 grant to community-based organization for project implementation and up to (5) $500 academic scholarships for students in the team.
  • 3rd Place Team: One (1) $4,000 grant to community-based organization for project implementation and up to (5) $200 academic scholarships for students in the team.

 Cafe Bustelo El Cafe Del Futuro Scholarship - $5,000 - OPEN
  • Full-time undergraduate or graduate student
  • Must be attending a four-year HACU-member institution within the U.S. or Puerto Rico
  • Open to ALL majors
  • Legal Residents of the 50 United States, D.C. and Puerto Rico
  • Must be of Latino descent
  • 800 word essay topic: Describe how your Latino heritage, family and the community in which you grew up have impacted your desire and motivation to obtain a college degree.  Additionally, describe what you intend to accomplish with your degree and how you will give back to your community.

  • Full-time undergraduate student
  • Must be attending a two-year or four-year HACU-Member institution within the U.S. and Puerto Rico
  • Open to the following majors:
    • Computer Science
    • Information Technology
    • Engineering (Computer, Software, Hardware, Mechanical)
    • Mathematics
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
  • U.S. Citizen

  • Full-time or part-time undergraduate or graduate student
  • Must be attending a two-year or four-year HACU-Member institution within the following states:

    • Florida
    • Illinois

    • Texas
    • Wisconsin
  • Open to all majors
  • Cumulative GPA: 2.5 or higher
  • U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, Authorized to work in the U.S., DACA
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • This scholarship opportunity also includes in sponsorship to participate in the HACU/¡Adelante! Leadership Institute Conference in Chicago, IL on October 5-7, 2019 where recipients will be invited to attend.
