Scholarship money is available!! The Gilman International Scholarship Program Spring 2017 application is now available online for students to access. Applications are due October 4, 2016 by 11:59pm (Central Time).
 

There are two components to the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Application:

1. Online application which includes uploading official transcripts.
2. Online certifications from the applicant’s study abroad and financial aid advisor.

Both components must be completed by the deadlines below in order for your application to be accepted. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered and extensions cannot be granted.

Deadlines & Timeline Overview

Students can study and intern abroad during the spring, summer, fall or academic year term. Refer to each term for specific dates on the deadlines and timelines for the application cycle. It is important that students apply for the correct scholarship term according to their program dates in order to be considered for the Gilman Scholarship.
Please be aware that the application deadline is in Central Time and take into consideration the applicable time difference as you prepare to submit your application. Late applications are not accepted.

Spring 2017 Timeline

The Spring 2017 application cycle is for study abroad programs beginning between December 15, 2016 and April 15, 2017. This cycle encompasses spring semester, quarter, calendar year, winter inter-session and January term programs that are a minimum of four weeks in length.
Please be aware that the application deadline is in Central Time and take into consideration the applicable time difference as you prepare to submit your application.

August 16, 2016	Online application opens for Spring 2017 study abroad programs and internships.
October 4, 2016	Student Deadline for submission of online application, including transcript(s). Must submit application by 11:59pm CDT.
October 11, 2016	Advisor Deadline for submission of online Study Abroad Advisor and Financial Aid Advisor section.
October/November 2016	Complete Applications are processed and distributed to selection panels for review.
November 2016	All Applicants are notified of the status of their application via email. Study Abroad and Financial Aid Advisors will be notified of scholarship recipients via email. A list of the recipients will be available on the Gilman website.
December 2016/ January 2017	Scholarship recipients must accept/decline their award and submit required documentation
