Gilman Spring 2017 Awards Offered!

The U.S. Department of State's Gilman International Scholarship Program is pleased to announce the awards offered to U.S. undergraduates who applied for Spring 2017. Notifications have been sent via email to all applicants.

The Gilman Scholarship Program reviewed over 2,700 applications for spring programs, and just over 850 outstanding students were offered awards to participate in credit-bearing study abroad programs and career-oriented internships in countries all around the world.

We would like to send a special thank you to the selection panelists who traveled to the Institute of International Education's (IIE) Houston, San Francisco, and Washington D.C. offices, to review the applications, and to all the educators who continue to promote the Gilman Scholarship and support their students in education abroad and international exchange experiences.

Visit the Gilman website at www.iie.org/gilman to view a list of selected recipients. Login to the Gilman Advisor Portal at https://gilmanapplication.iie.org/Advisor to view award amounts offered to students and the status of all applicants at your institution.

Capacity Building Grants for U.S. Undergraduate Study Abroad
The U.S. Department of State and Partners of the Americas are pleased to announce Capacity Building Grants for U.S. Undergraduate Study Abroad of up to $42,000, which are designed to create or expand the capacity of U.S. HEIs to administer study abroad programs under diversity goals. These goals include broadening the student population who studies abroad and/or the destinations and disciplines in which they study. These grants are also intended to allow U.S. institutions to collaborate with and help expand the capacity of overseas HEIs to provide academic programs for U.S. undergraduate students.

The application will close December 19, 2016.  Find out more on the grant website.
