Not sure how to get started on your research paper? Want to meet with a librarian and writing tutor at the same time? The Library and the Learning Success Center are now offering Research and Writing Consultations.
From February 26 through April 11, librarians and writing tutors will hold coordinated appointments on the first floor of the Library from 3-5 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
This is a great option for students who are short on time, haven’t written a research paper in awhile, or are anxious about how to get started. A librarian can help you locate sources to support your papers, define and focus your research questions, and plan effective strategies to explore research materials that are available through the library. A writing tutor can help you refine your writing skills, develop arguments, learn about expectations for academic writing, and save time by creating a writing plan.
Students can make appointments for Research and Writing Consultations during the dates above on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3-5 pm. Set up an appointment by calling the Learning Success Center at (773) 442-4568, or by stopping by the Reference Desk on the first floor of the Library.
