The Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) offers post-secondary opportunities to support current college students who are CHA residents attending NEIU. Below are details regarding the CHA Scholarship along with the CHA, paid, Summer Internship program.
· CHA Scholarship Application – Due May 15th
Current CHA residents attending college in Fall 2019 can apply online between now and the May 15, 2019 deadline for a CHA Scholarship.
CHA will make over 200 scholarship awards available at the $1,000 level and 20 awards at the $2,500 level.
A 2.0 GPA minimum is required; 2.5 GPA is recommended. See attached the SCHOLARSHIP GUIDE or visit http://thecha.org/scholarship to apply.
· CHA Summer Student Internship Program Application – Due March 31st
The CHA seeks applicants to serve as interns in numerous departments in the 2019 CHA Summer Internship Program.
Applicants must be currently enrolled and in good standing at an accredited college or university for academic year 2018-2019; and majoring in subject areas relevant to departmental needs at CHA.
