Paid Summer Internships: Apply by 3/1


Hello:

We’re excited to offer paid internships for students with all stipend and travel expenses included.

Business Staffing of America, Inc. in conjunction with The Zion Group, Inc has been contracted to identify, recruit and hire interns for an 11-week program for the U.S Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Office of Recruitment and Retention programs. The job positions are in various states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington DC, and Wyoming.

When: Starts June 3, 2019, for a minimum of 11 weeks of continuous full-time (40 hours per week)

Application Due: March 8, 2019.

Compensation to You
  • Intern awardees will be paid a $500.00 weekly stipend ($5,500.00 total internship).
  • Round-trip airfare to/from internship location is provided for non-local students.
  • Assistance to locate and secure housing during the internship for non-local students.

Who We Are Looking For:

The ideal candidate shall be:
  1. A student that is not currently a Federal employee.
  2. Students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited college or university. Undergraduate is defined as an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree program.
  3. Recent student graduates from an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited college or university. To qualify as a recent graduate the student’s official graduation date cannot exceed six (6) months prior to the start date of the internship period.
  4. Each candidate shall possess at least a 2.5 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
  5. The candidate shall also be able to pass a background investigation.
  6. Must be eligible to work in the United States.


There are several career fields necessary for the effective management of public lands and resources. Position titles include but is not limited to:
  • Archaeologist
  • Fisheries Biologist
  • Business Management and Administration
  • Business Real Estate
  • Engineering – Civil, Petroleum
  • Ecologist – Forestry Technician
  • Geologist
  • IT Geospatial, Web Development
  • Land Surveyors
  • Natural Resources Management
  • Navigable Waters Specialist
  • Park/Refuge/Monument Management and Administration
  • Public Policy/Administration and Management
