Dear students,
The USDA-Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Pacific West Area (PWA) is partnering with four-year Minority Serving Institutions to offer highly qualified students professional experience through our newly established “Science in Action” summer training program. This unique training program provides students the opportunity to study with world-renowned scientists in the USDA-ARS-PWA to gain hands-on experience working on cutting edge research in many areas including: Food Science, Crop Production, Plant Genetics and Breeding, Entomology, Natural Resources, Bioproducts, and Engineering. This is a fully funded 8-week summer internship. Based on successful completion of the first year, students may have an option to complete a second 8-week internship the following summer.
Internships may be offered in the following states: Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, & Washington
Students are required to complete an application, including a current resume, official transcripts and two letters of recommendation.
