List of Internships: Check Application Deadlines


Natural Sciences Majors:

The Student Center for Science Engagement will soon be accepting applications for Summer Research and Professional Training Program.

Please see below regarding the important dates for both faculty and students, and mark your calendars if you are thinking of applying for a position this summer. Student applications are released on Monday, January 27th.

The National Institutes of Health MARC (Maximizing Access to Research Careers) U-STAR Program at Northeastern Illinois University is currently accepting student applications for four MARC Scholar appointments starting in June 2020. To be considered, please apply by 11:59 p.m., March 8, 2020.
The MARC program supports and prepares juniors and seniors interested in pursuing Ph.D. programs in the biomedical and behavioral sciences upon graduation from Northeastern. This program is not intended to fund students interested in obtaining just a medical degree.
Benefits:
·  High-quality preparation for fully funded Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. programs
·  A $13,000 annual stipend for two years
·  Up to 100 percent tuition/fees waiver at Northeastern
Eligibility:
·  Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
·  Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
·  Applicants are required to complete a Mathematical and Statistical Modeling minor as part of their training.
Application, all unofficial transcripts, and one letter of recommendation may be submitted online at the MARC website.

There is an opportunity for NEIU students to attend and participate in the Future Finance Leaders Program at Oracle’s Modern Business Experience in March at McCormick Place.

Participating students will attend a dedicated session on Monday afternoon to orient them to the conference and introduce them to executive Oracle employees in their relative field of study. This session will be an excellent networking opportunity with our senior-level leadership teams.

Please see below regarding details the program and includes the link to the application. After the dedicated opening session on Monday, the students are welcome to enjoy the conference as a regular attendee.

JLL Capital Markets is seeking candidates for paid internships in their Chicago office during the spring semester.  The hours per week vary and are flexible with the candidate’s class schedule, usually around 20 hours per week.  The application link and a company profile are provided below.

The Circle of Service Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides monetary grants to organizations in the areas of community services, Jewish community, education and medical research. It was founded in 1997 and has since worked to support great organizations to enhance community, opportunity and well-being. Foundation staff are primarily tasked with implementing grantmaking strategies outlined by the Foundation’s board. This includes understanding the need in the community, identifying opportunities for investment, conducting due diligence on an organization’s outcomes and overall sustainability and bringing recommendations to the board for their review. 
The summer intern position will assist staff with the development of grant programs.

Government/Politics:
Career Development is hosting a Government Internship Panel on Thursday, January 23, 2020 at 3:00pm - 4:00pm in SU 214. We invite students, faculty, and staff to learn about internship opportunities available at the federal, state, and local levels of government through a discussion panel and Q&A session. Confirmed panelists as of now include representatives from the offices of Senator Tammy Duckworth, Congressman Mike Quigley, and Illinois Senator Ram Villivalam. We anticipate that representatives from local government and neighborhood agencies will also be involved.

The Lime Connect Fellowship Program For Students with Disabilities is our flagship program in the U.S. designed for highly accomplished rising university juniors.

This prestigious program kicks off with a trip to our Leadership & Development Symposium in New York City this summer for professional development training, access to our U.S. corporate partners and potential Summer 2021 internships. Upon completion of the program, Fellows will join the lifelong experience of the Lime Connect Fellows community, where they will receive ongoing support and mentoring, continued professional development, community, and networking opportunities throughout their careers.

2020 Lime Connect Fellowship Program Eligibility Requirements:
·  A current sophomore at a four-year university in the United States
·  Continuing studies as a full-time student for the 2020 - 2021 academic year
·  Eligible to work in the United States
·  A person with a (visible or invisible) disability.*
